What does a Technical Product Designer (m/f/d) do?

Technical Product Designers (m/f/d) specializing in machine and plant design use CAD systems todesign and construct components, assemblies or complete plants. In collaboration with the development department, you use CAD systems to produce detailed design plans, taking into account the relevant drawing standards and entering dimensions suitable for production.


You take into account electrotechnical components, select suitable standard parts and materials that meet the requirements. You implement change proposals for the further development of products in a constructive manner and also pay attention to economic efficiency. You also create assembly plans and parts lists for production. You maintain product documentation, manage the various development versions and save the data.

Dual vocational training, regulated according to the Vocational Training Act (BBIG)

  • Company in Uhingen
  • Vocational school in Esslingen

Duration of training

3.5 years, shortening possible with very good performance

Educational Qualification

The Mittlere Reife is preferred
